Description |
The Blue Jean 6
Here is a very special knife for a very special reason. This is the first-ever Blue Jean CQC-6. It is a striking non-waved chisel ground 6 featuring beautiful satin-finished bolsters with a blue anodized pivot bolt and a blue titanium Crusader Cross thumb button. Then there are the handles. The handle material on the Blue Jean 6 is made from pairs of my own personal blue jeans, resin impregnated, and heat pressed in my 50-ton press, and they look just like faded blue jeans. This is the first knife I ever put blue jean scales on, and it is a beautiful and truly unique, CQC-6.
The special reason I mentioned, for this knife, and auction, is that I made it for my grandkids' school auction donation. My daughter and her husband live in a very rural area. The school my grandchildren attend has 37 students and only three full-time teachers. Every morning they stand on the blacktop and hold their hands over their hearts and recite the Pledge of Allegiance as the flag is raised, and every afternoon, before the final bell rings, they stand at attention with their hands over their heart again as the flag is lowered, folded by the students, and carefully put away until the next school day. Being that this public school is so small and in a rural community, funding for the school is done within the local community only and is severely limited.
Please be generous in your bidding for this beautiful handmade CQC-6 as it is for a school that still teaches reading, writing, and arithmetic along with the old school solid values and patriotism that made this country so great and a beacon of freedom and liberty to light the rest of the world.
